Physical Training

Staying fit is a core necessity for the infantry, Grenadiers exercise every week day morning from 08.00 until 10.00, this training is run by the company’s and is limited only by the imagination. Assault courses, tabbing (weighted marches
across the training area), stretcher races, combat conditioning and circuits are regular favourites; however, Sumba, Bikram yoga and boxing have all been used in recent weeks to ensure that fitness remains fun and diverse.

Our Battalion has a gym with an extensive weights room and cardio vascular suite within our camp. The garrison Olympic standard swimming pool, squash courts and gymnasium are a five minuet jog from our camp, and access to all of the equipment is free for serving soldiers.
